Do you need your technical documentation translated into German? Does the success of your project require support to enable you to communicate with customers in Great Britain or Spain? Should the layout be identical to that of the original files?
If so, I am your technical translator who will translate your texts precisely, trustworthily and with a high level of quality. I offer technical understanding and have been operating successfully with my working languages German, English and Spanish in technical fields since 2005. I shall gladly forward a list of references on request. In addition, I regularly attend further-training measures in order to keep fully abreast of my specialist areas. I work with the latest versions of SDL Trados Studio and other CAT tools.
I have been working full-time as a self-employed translator and proof-reader since 2010. I previously spent 5 years working as project manager for a Berlin translation and interpreting agency focussing on renewable energy sources, where I was responsible for project management, quality proof-reading and technical translations.
During my studies at the Humboldt University in Berlin I studied technical environmental protection at the Technical University of Berlin as a non-linguistic supplementary subject. My degree thesis investigated German and English specialist terms related to solar thermal energy. Following a semester at the Universidad de Granada (Spain) I spent 3 months working as a translator in a Spanish solar technology installation company (Solarta Balear SL). My interests include new and efficient technologies, ecological agriculture, regional environmental education, swimming, triathlon and textile design.
